1. Information you provide
We collect the information you submit when planning an event or contacting us: your name, email, phone number, delivery address and ZIP code, event date and time, guest count, menu and rental selections, flavors, and any instructions you choose to share. Please do not enter card numbers, passwords, medical records or other unnecessary sensitive information in order notes.
For online payments, we receive transaction references, payment status and the amount paid. We also record the policy version and time of your checkout acknowledgment. Card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout page; this website’s order records do not store your full card number or security code.
2. How information is used
- Price and prepare your order, check delivery availability, process payment, deliver catering and equipment, and manage event logistics.
- Answer questions, send or discuss booking updates, handle cancellations or refunds, and resolve complaints.
- Protect against fraud, investigate errors, keep business and accounting records, and meet legal obligations.
- Operate and improve the website. Our hosting and payment providers may process technical data such as IP addresses, browser information, device details and service logs.
3. Who receives information
Information is shared as needed with authorized staff and service providers who support hosting, payment processing, event fulfillment, customer support and business administration. Base44 hosts the website and app data; Stripe processes online payments. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or legal rights, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable protections.
We do not sell or rent customer order information or provide it to unrelated businesses for their own marketing. This checkout does not enroll you in promotional messages. If optional marketing or advertising data uses are introduced, we will describe them and provide choices or obtain permission where required.
4. Optional Microsoft Clarity analytics
With your permission, Microsoft Clarity collects website interaction data, such as clicks, scrolling and page layout, using heatmaps and session replay to help us improve the menu and ordering experience. Clarity may use first-party and third-party cookies and related technologies. Microsoft describes its own data handling in its privacy statement.
Analytics is off until you choose Allow analytics. Advertising storage is kept off, and a browser Global Privacy Control signal is treated as an opt-out. Your choice is stored in your browser for 9 months unless you change it or clear browser storage. You can decline or change your choice on the Analytics Privacy Choices page; booking terms acceptance is a separate choice.
Customer forms and order panels are marked for masking, and sensitive payment and internal management URLs are excluded from loading Clarity. We do not send names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, card details or freeform notes as custom analytics identifiers. Masking reduces collection of entered content; enabled analytics still captures general interaction patterns.
5. Cookies, local storage and outside services
Your browser stores your cart, guest count and delivery ZIP so your order can survive a reload. A session cookie and session storage remember that you have seen the smoke introduction. Hosting, security and payment services may use their own cookies or similar technologies. Browser controls let you clear or restrict storage; doing so may empty your cart or affect checkout.
The website loads fonts from Google Fonts and media from our hosting provider. Visiting outside services, including Stripe Checkout, subjects that interaction to the provider’s own privacy terms. Providers may process data outside your state or country under their applicable arrangements.
6. Retention and security
We retain order and communication records for as long as reasonably needed to fulfill orders, maintain business records, resolve disputes and meet legal requirements. Browser cart data remains until you clear it or it is replaced. Deleting a browser cart does not delete an order or payment record.
Access should be limited to people and providers who need information for these purposes. No website, transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send sensitive payment information by text or in order notes.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
Call or text (469) 715-3181 and identify your message as a privacy request. You may ask about your information, request access or correction, or request deletion, subject to identity verification, applicable law and records we must retain. We will explain if a request cannot be fully honored. Where applicable privacy laws grant additional rights, including an appeal or opt-out right, those rights remain available; you may use the same contact method to raise them.
You can ask us to stop optional promotional communications. Necessary booking, safety, payment and fulfillment communications may still be sent. We do not treat giving us a phone number for an order as permission for unrelated marketing.
8. Children and policy updates
Ordering is intended for adults who are at least 18. This service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
We may update this policy by posting a new version and effective date. A change does not silently rewrite the terms already accepted for a completed booking. Contact Tailgates BBQ & Parties at (469) 715-3181 with privacy questions.
